Dear MOSAIC Families,
Welcome back from the Thanksgiving Break! I hope everyone enjoyed their time off and was able to catch up on rest. I would like to remind our families that Tuesday, December 1st and Wednesday, December 2nd will be virtual days for all students. Virtual school hours for Tuesday and Wednesday will be 9:10am-3:55pm. We look forward to the return of Cohort A to on campus learning this Thursday and Cohort B on Friday.
*MOSAIC@Home students will follow their typical daily schedule.
Stretch Update
REMINDER! Students will have STRETCH….
We will continue our virtual STRETCH days as normal on December 1st & 2nd.
This means:
4th grade L -Z on Tuesday, Dec. 1st
3rd grade A – K on Wednesday, Dec. 2nd

Kindergarten Lottery for the 2021-2022 School Year
MOSAIC Elementary will hold a virtual parent information night on Monday, December 7th, at 6 p.m. for parents who are interested in their child attending kindergarten at MOSAIC Elementary for the 2020-2021 school year. Please visit the MOSAIC website, mosaic.
Chromebook Repair
Although the district provided Chromebooks are very durable, there are times where something can go wrong with them. Please reach out to the district’s IT office at [email protected] if your child’s Chromebook is having issues.
MOSAIC Recognition
I would like to encourage our families to submit a MOSAIC Recognition Form to give a shout out to a MOSAIC student or staff member. I read submissions each day for morning announcements. It is a great way to begin the day!
Curbside Meals
I would like to remind our families that the district is still providing curbside meals. Please read the information below for all the details.
Monday: pickup available at all schools 10:30 am-12:30 pm
Tuesday-Friday: pickup available at Mehlville and Oakville High Schools only, 10:30 am-12:30 pm.

MOSAIC WINTER SHOP VENDOR SIGN-UP

Calling All Talented and Crafty Mosaic Families and Friends (even Mosaic student’s can lend a hand). The Mosaic Winter Shop is going to open in a few days and we are in need of memorable keepsakes to sell to our Mosaic students at a reasonable kid friendly price (nothing over $10). If you would like to participate as a virtual vendor in our online student shop please sign-up by November 30th. We are looking to build future relationships with local businesses and would love to support your craft. Thank you for your continued support of Mosaic Elementary and the PTO.
If you signed up to be a vendor, you must complete the contract and send the image, description, and price of your item by the end of the day tomorrow (12/1) to be included in the shop.

MOSAIC WINTER SHOP

We invite our Mosaic community to shop in our first ever virtual holiday store. The shop is designed for students to be able buy a special gift for their loved ones that will be treasured for years to come, but everyone is welcome to shop! All of the unique items featured are less than $10 and are from local crafters and Mosaic families.
The Winter Shop will be open for a limited time from Thursday, December 3rd to Monday, December 7th on our website mosaic-pto.org. Purchased items will be distributed beginning the week of 12/14.
SPREADING JOY SIGN-UP
(SIGN-UP ENDS WEDNESDAY)
We are on a mission to spread as much contactless joy this season as we possibly can. Please join us! We are putting together a package for contactless pick-up at one of three locations that will contain supplies for our graham cracker house contest and snowflakes for a ‘Spread Joy’ banner that will be displayed outside the school. Each pick-up location will have a collection bin for non-perishable items to be donated to the Affton Food Pantry and an “official” North Pole mailbox where you can drop off your letters to Santa.
At this time, we are only able to offer the packages to Mosaic students, but we encourage all family members to join in on the fun! You will receive a package for each student signed-up. Sign-up ends Wednesday, December 2nd. Contactless pick-up/drop-off time slots will be arranged on Sunday, December 6th and Monday, December 7th. Further details will be sent out prior to pick-up/drop-off.

If your Mosaic student signed up to SNOWBALL a Mosaic friend, the email matches are going out today so keep an eye out. SNOWBALLS are ready to fly. Please make sure you throw your SNOWBALL (minimum $5) now through Sunday, December 20th and share your adventure on the REAL Moms of Mosaic FB page. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
