September 21, 2020 – Dr. Clark Email

Good Morning MOSAIC Families,

We are excited to see the return of our K-2nd grade students this week beginning tomorrow morning. The teachers have been preparing their studios for the return of their students. Teachers have done a great job creating a learning environment that is safe and establishes space for social distancing while remaining an inviting place for students to learn and grow.

Thank you once again to those who were able to attend last Thursday’s K-2 parent zoom meeting. I shared the safety protocols we will have in place for your child’s return this week. I also shared our student drop off and student pick-up procedures. Please review the attached PowerPoint presentation for information regarding safety and transportation.

A Note from Ms. Blanchette

Ms. Blanchette is having a virtual lunch bunch for Kindergarten, Monday, (09/21/2020) from 11:20 – 11:40 am. Students can feel free to join the google meet at code mocounseling any time during this time period.  It is not required, just another opportunity for the students to get to know one another.

Ms. Blanchette shares helpful information about what she does with students during her lessons and resources on her Mosaic School Counseling Facebook page.  She can be reached at:

School Hours/Student Arrival/Student Dismissal

Beginning on Tuesday, September 22nd, MOSAIC’s school hours will be from 9:10am-4:00pm Tuesday through Friday (Virtual hours for Mondays in the blended model are from 9:00am -2:20pm.) Student arrival begins at 8:55am on the playground parking lot and concludes at 9:10am. Please review my attached PowerPoint presentation to review the arrival and dismissal procedures. Student dismissal begins sharply at 3:55pm. I ask that all families be on MOSAIC’s parking lot before 3:50pm for the safety of students. All families have been assigned a parking row for afternoon dismissal pick up.  K-1 families will pick up their child on the playground parking lot. 2nd-5th grade families will pick up their child on the lower parking lot.

MOSAIC Recognition

I would like to encourage our families to submit a MOSAIC Recognition Form to give a shout out to a MOSAIC student or staff member.  I read submissions each day for morning announcements. It is a great way to begin the day!

Bus Routes

MOSAIC students have the opportunity to ride a Mehlville school bus to MOSAIC each morning. Parents are required to pick-up their child(ren) in the afternoon for dismissal. MOSAIC Students can access bus transportation at their neighborhood bus stop. The bus will take MOSAIC students to their home school where they will then board a shuttle bus to MOSAIC. Please follow the link below for your family’s neighborhood stop and time.

Below are the bus routes for each individual school:

Mehlville School District Bus Routes

Beasley and Blades Bus Transportation

Students in the Beasley and Blades attendance area will catch the MOSAIC shuttle bus at their home schools. The MOSAIC shuttle bus for Blades students will arrive at Blades’ front parking lot at 8:45am. I would arrive five minutes earlier than 8:45am. Beasley students will catch the MOSAIC shuttle bus also at 8:45am in Beasley’s front parking lot. Plan to arrive a few minutes early as well.

Y-Care

Y-Care is once again available for MOSAIC students for before and after school care. Before school begins each morning at 6:30am in MOSAIC’s gym. After-school care provides supervision from the end of school until 6:00pm. As we shift to a blended model, Y-Care will only be available for K-2 students Tuesday through Friday. For more info, please contact Ashley Reinhardt at [email protected].

Take care and we look forward to seeing our K-2 students in-person this school week!
