May 24, 2021 – Dr. Clark Email

Dear MOSAIC Families,

We are in our final full week of school. Next Wednesday, June 2nd will be the last day of school. We will dismiss students beginning at 1:15pm on June 2nd. Please be on MOSAIC’s parking lot to pick up your child no later than 1:10pm.

I have a lot of information to share with you as we wrap up these last few days of school. Please take a moment to read this week’s email and please reach out to me at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Yearbooks, Report Cards and Placements

Students who ordered yearbooks will receive them on Tuesday, June 1st. Yearbook signing will take place only in their classrooms. We have a very limited number of additional books remaining. If you would like to purchase a copy for $15, please contact Mrs. Ulrich at [email protected].

Report cards, along with teacher placement and student supply lists will be sent home on Wednesday, June 2nd in your child’s backpack. Virtual students will receive their report cards through email. I will include student supply lists in next week’s email blast and do a posting on Facebook.

MEAL ACCOUNT BALANCES:  All balances left in meal accounts at the end of the school year will automatically be carried forward for students continuing in any Mehlville School. If a student graduates or moves out of the school district, a refund can be requested. Account balances can also be transferred to siblings within Mehlville. The parent/guardian may request a refund or transfer by emailing [email protected]  Refunds will be issued by check from the Mehlville School District. Families may also choose to donate the remaining meal account balance to a student in need within our district by contacting the School Food & Nutrition office at 314-467-5250.

In an effort to address some questions that have come up regarding Chromebooks over the summer:

  • Please make every attempt to identify those students that may not be returning to the district this summer or next fall so that their device can be collected.
  • Over the summer, please inform families leaving the district they may also drop off their device at the IT office in the back of the Witzel Building at 3100 Lemay Ferry Rd. 63125
  • During the summer, our help email address: [email protected] will continue to be monitored to serve students and families.
  • Please remind students over the summer to store or use their devices in a safe place where they will not be crushed or exposed to liquids (the number 1 reason for breakage)

As a reminder, only Senior Chromebooks will be collected at the end of this school year. All other students will keep their devices over the summer.

Emergency Broadband Benefit

The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households.

There are three ways for eligible households to apply:

  1. Contact your preferred participating broadband provider directly to learn about their application process.
  2. Go to GetEmergencyBroadband.org to apply online and to find participating providers near you.
  3. Call 833-511-0311 for a mail-in application, and return it along with copies of documents showing proof of eligibility to:

Emergency Broadband Support Center
P.O. Box 7081
London, KY 40742

After receiving an eligibility determination, households can contact their preferred service provider to select an Emergency Broadband Benefit eligible service plan.
